Vivo company brand announced the launch of the T1 5G smartphone in 2022. The manufacturer is offering the Vivo T1 5G phone with 6.58 inches display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset, 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage capacity.

The Vivo T1 5G comes with Android OS v11.0 out of the box, and a Li-Po 5000 mAh, non-removable battery. The 6.58 inches phone comes with IPS display (1080 x 2408 pixels).

The IPS display provides enhanced features, such as optimal viewing angles, color accuracy, invariable color reproduction and better mobile power consumption.

Design & Display

The T1 5G has a plastic frame with the power and volume buttons on the right. Vivo has integrated the fingerprint scanner into the power button, which makes unlocking this phone easy. The left is bare, while the top has the SIM tray and secondary microphone.

At the bottom, the T1 5G has a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, loudspeaker, and primary microphone.

Vivo T1 5G adopts a new design language with flat sides all around. It’s easy to grip this phone, and the rounded corners don’t dig into your palms.

Vivo has made the T1 5G thin at 8.25mm and its 187g weight was manageable. It sports a big display with a dewdrop notch, which looks dated compared to other phones in this segment that sport hole-punch displays. It has thin bezels on the sides, while the chin is thicker.

Memory & Performance

The internal memory of Vivo T1 5G (4 GB) cannot be expanded, but the internal storage (128 GB) can be expanded with a compatible microSD card.

On the performance side, Vivo T1 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, which powers other competitors.

Vivo says it has also added a vapour cooling chamber to prevent the SoC from heating up when under load. It also offers a RAM expansion feature that lets you use 1GB of storage as RAM with the base variant, while the full higher variants allow 2GB and 4GB to be very well used respectively.


Vivo T1, with its inbuilt functionalities and stunning camera options, turns out to be an amazing smartphone in the Nigerian market.

The camera of the T1 5G is fully equipped with autofocus. An autofocus or optical system uses a sensor, a control system and a motor to focus on an automatically or manually selected point.

Vivo has placed a triple camera setup on the back of the T1. It includes a 50MP f/1.8 Wide Angle Primary Camera, a 2MP f/2.4 Depth Camera and a 2MP f/2.4 Macro Camera.

Some of the rear camera features are LED Flash, Auto Flash, HDR mode, Digital Zoom, full Face Detection, etc. On the front side, the brand has provided a 16MP f/2.0, Wide Angle Primary Camera for detailed selfies.

Vivo claims to offer a Super Night mode for low-light photography, and Portrait Styles which are filters that can be applied while taking a portrait photo. Strangely, these features are missing on the base 4GB variant.
