Tesla Model S in Nigeria Full Review

The Tesla brand is the talk of the lips on every one now from x.com to Paypal to space x and now tesla motors. It is more than just a brand and it is fully owned by our very own digital founder elon musk. However, in this post we are going to be seeing more of the tesla motor brand with emphasis on the Tesla Model S Plaid.

The Tesla Model S is an excellent car with a driving range estimated up to 390mi, it has a fast pace acceleration with a good image to that fact. Although the interior is just there, it runs on a 200mph top speed with 1,020 horse power ranging close to 1.99s quick acceleration zoom 0-60mph at it’s peak.

This sedan is the first mass market all electric car and it has top notch advances in battery technology. It is a very good car as an executive saloon that combines amazing performance with a luxurious, high tech cabin, quality refinement and zero tail pipe emissions.

The four-door, five-seat saloon car that is very fast as it claims 0-62mph in less than 2.5 seconds. Although the electric Model S might not produce any discernable engine sound when it comes on, this is right but its super car-like performance is more than one would imagine except you are at the front seat with the steering wheel.

Owning a Tesla gives access to a network of high-speed chargers called ‘Superchargers’ that can top you up in minutes, not hours. There are more than 10,000 stations worldwide. Model S cars built from October have a feature called Autopilot, this is an advanced driver assistance system that allows the car to operate without assistance from the driver.

However, the driver must supervise at all times and take control if there is an issue. Autopilot 2.0, introduced in that same October, also includes “Enhanced Summon”, which allows the car to navigate through a parking lot to its owner without anyone in the driver’s seat. Sentry mode, available on cars built after August, the car also senses and records suspicious activity around the car.

Driving

The seats of the model S are comfortable and supportive, and they ride smooth enough on the standard height-adjustable air suspension, making the Model S good over long distances. With this car, the noise that comes with a moving vehicle are limited so using the Model S, these are both pretty well suppressed.

In February 2020 the Tesla brand increased the range of the Model S to 390 mi (630 km) of range. And in August 2020 the range test results were updated by the EPA to 402 miles (647 km), higher than that of any other battery electric car in the world.

This awesome super car will boast 1020 horsepower from three onboard electric motors, and are said to be capable of a zero-to-60-mph time of less than two seconds. On January 28, 2021, Model S was updated with a modified exterior and interior. The new Model S was launched alongside Model S Plaid and Plaid+. Tesla dropped the Performance and Ludicrous branding from the new Model S lineup in favor of the new Plaid.

Two different settings allow drivers to choose heavy or light steering effort, but neither of them enable more feedback from the road.

The interiors of the Tesla Model S is very soft with both layout, space and finish and storage. There is a wireless controller compatibility that allows passengers game from any seat, Up to 10 teraflops of processing power enables in-car gaming on-par with today’s newest consoles. When talking about the interior of this super fast car, you can not miss the 17-inch portrait touchscreen that dominates the dashboard, and replaces all but a handful of physical buttons which is a plugged in upgrade from the rest.

Regardless, it handles everything from climate control and audio, via navigation and the hands-free phone, to things like the headlights and sunroof. The energy-saving sleep state of the model s powers off the display and other vehicle electronics, after the car goes into sleep state. This increases the time it takes the touchscreen and instrument panel to become usable. This mode can decrease the loss of the car’s range when not being used to 2.3 mi (3.7 km) per day.

The Long Range version’s battery providing up to a 412-mile range while the Plaid model offers up to 390. The new Plaid+ model may be interesting to those hoping to extend the range even further, as Tesla claims it is capable of up to 520 miles of driving between charges.

Charger

In all markets including africa the charge port is located behind a door in the left taillight. During charging, the charge port pulses green. The frequency at which the charge port’s light pulses slows down as the charge level approaches full. When charging is complete, the light stops pulsing and is solid green ready to move.

Model S Pricing

The Tesla Model S has been around for a while still it is among the super rated fast car there is regardless of its exterior look. However, it is available and on sale for the price of $81,190. And ofcourse buyers should expect some luxury with this price in mind.
