How To Verify A Registered Company With CAC
- Visit the CAC website at http://services.cac.gov.ng/and chose the “Public Search” service on the landing page
- On the search page, enter the name of the company in the search box with the heading, Search Record By Name
- Click on the square box to verify you are a human, not a robot
- Now click on search
If the company is registered, the search will bring up all the details of the company with the CAC registration status. This will include the name of the company, the RC number, address of the date of registration. If the company is still new and undergoing registration, you will see the notice without the RC number and address. However, if the company is not registered, the search box will return empty.
The CAC (Corporate Affairs Commission)
The CAC ( Corporate Affairs Commission) which was founded in 1990 under the Companies and Allied Matters Act mandated that all company, enterprises or business must be registered before it can fully operate in Nigeria. This commission was created in order to regulate how a company manages and operate in Nigeria.
