DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY
An elegant look, with finishes inspired by the collaboration with Aim Lab and a simple overall design that focuses on functionality. There are four actual buttons , to which are added the one for changing the DPI and for pairing with other devices, while, in the lower part, there is a switch between the various connection modes : via cable, Bluetooth and Wireless (via USB dongle removable from underneath).
The scroll wheel is also customizable and programmable, as well as configurable with Aura Sync via Asus software to synchronize the RGB effects with the other ROG components in the build.
Finally, the mouse is equipped with a high-precision ROG Aim Point optical sensor , which combines with the new ROG Micro Switches capable of withstanding up to 70 million clicks. There is no mouse that can be used without adequate support and today Asus can boast a piece that is more than suitable for this role.
The ROG Moonstone Ace L is a large mat, covered with a protective layer over the glass and with a completely smooth texture suitable for rapid movements. With a size of 50×40 centimeters and a thickness of 4 millimeters, the tempered glass mousepad places us in a new concept of daily usability, thus being able to exploit every mouse to its maximum potential. Here too we can say that the key word is functionality.
FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCES
The Harpe Ace is an excellent choice for demanding gamers and a peripheral with great potential for various fields, competitive gaming included and first of all.
The performances allow you to immediately feel a sensation of stability and ergonomics, in fact it focuses on the potential offered by the sensor and on the ease of use, the main buttons are fine for daily use, through a decisive, but not invasive sound, which it gives you peace of mind about the recording of the given input, and the stress of gaming sessions.
In addition to Armory Crate , we find support for the AIM LAB SETTINGS OPTIMIZER , an Aim Lab software capable of setting this Harpe Ace based on the user’s strengths and learning to aim and improve reflexes.
The exceptional responsiveness and firm grip that the mouse guarantees are what distinguishes this from the latest Asus ROG products tested previously. A speed suitable for every situation is also guaranteed by the Moonstone Ace L, what impressed us most in our test of the Asus devices throughout December.
The very low resistance of the surface allows for ultra-fast, silent and high-precision sliding, bumps and scratches do not easily scratch the mat and the base is not slippery in the slightest thanks to the silicone backing , which ensures the permanent stability of the Moonstone, so that it remains well firm, offering a reliable platform for quick and sudden movements.
There have been weeks of intense testing and continuous use, leaving us amazed by the build quality and effectiveness of devices of this caliber. The use was pleasant and allowed us to take 100% advantage of what Asus provided us.
Wrapping Up
The two products are perfect both individually and together: on the one hand we have a super-light and precise mouse, on the other a solid and functional mat. Two sides of a perfect coin, this is how we would describe the Moonstone and Harpe pairing , suitable for any challenge.
